We all know that there are times when we can't be with our furry VIPs, hopefully we at Mutts About Walking can be there for those times. During our walks, we not only get to enjoy the wonderful company of your dogs but also get to experience some of the best places around the North East and want to share some with you!
We would love to hear from you and include your dog friendly businesses or places in the North East on our site, please get in contact with us at email@example.com to be included.
A dog walker's delight! We love bringing our pooches here! Originally opened in 1885, this beautiful park situated between North Shields and Tynemouth, with landscaped gardens and lake has to be one of our favourites! Lots of opportunity for your pup to explore, new sights and dog friendly smells all around, and they are bound to meet new doggy friends along the way! There is also a café for weary humans to stock up on caffeine and cake if required! Best appreciated in the sunshine! Although as this picture shows it is still beautiful despite the rain!
Marden Quarry and Nature Reserve is a lovely place in the North East for a dog friendly walk, and to let your dogs explore (although watch out if they like to chase birds)!
Located just outside of Whitley Bay city centre, it's a great place to escape to for dog walkers.
Not usually too busy and there is plenty of free parking on the site.
This is a former colliery site which has been landscaped and we think it's perfect for some great long walks with our beloved pups!
Very dog friendly, gorgeous scenery, lots of new sniffs, plenty of space for a good run! Definitely suits our more energetic dogs and the ones that love to roll in the North East mud! Parking is free, there are always lots of dogs around off the leash so best to ensure your dog is happy around others!
Here at Mutts About Walking we absolutely love the Lighthouse along with the surrounding dog friendly Nature Reserve, full of varied walks, amazing scenery, beaches, and wildlife. There are some amazing views of the North East to be had while walking around here.
It is always quite busy and you will meet lots of other dogs and people that like to chat!
Close to the Whitley Bay coast and Seaton Sluice where there are even more great walks to explore!
We love dog friendly Seaton Delaval Hall and the surrounding gardens. It's a lovely, peaceful place to bring your dog, and they will love all of the new sights and smells they encounter here! Dogs have to be kept on a lead but there is plenty of space to give them a good walk. Part of the National Trust so you may have to pay to enter if you are not a member. Well worth a visit!
